Centini, Airport Director, announced that the Kellogg Fire Training Simulator returns to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport for two days of Intensive Firefighter training, on July 12-13, 2012. Once again, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport offers this course to our Airport employees and other regional Airports, as well as our area Volunteer Fire Companies that will be called to assist at the Airport in case of an aircraft emergency. George Bieber, AVP Director - Public Safety, said, "In addition to being used to continually educate our own ARFF Personnel, this course gives us an opportunity to allow our mutual aid fire personnel to work with our ARFF staff on a actual Aircraft simulator." "This unit actually burns and the fire personnel work in an active fire environment," Bieber continued. "They also receive very intense classroom instruction." Participants this year include representatives from: Avoca Fire Department, Bradford Regional Airport, Greater Binghamton Airport, Hughestown Fire Department, Reading Regional Airport and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
