US AIRWAYS ADDS ADDITIONAL SERVICE TO CHARLOTTE FROM AVP

Avoca, PA - Travelers using the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport will soon have additional options for air travel.  US Airways has scheduled a 3rd daily flight to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

Beginning July 11, 2012, US Airways will add a 6:55 PM departure arriving in Charlotte at 8:44 PM.  Also, the new flight will leave Charlotte at 8:44 PM.  Also, the new flight will leave Charlotte at 4:30 PM and arrive at AVP at 6:19 PM.

US Airways carrier PSA Airlines will operate the nonstop, round-trip flights daily using the 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet.

The additional flight brings US Airways total weekday departures to nine: six to Philadelphia and three to Charlotte.

"We are pleased to see US Airways continue to add more seats and service in our market", stated Barry Centini, Airport Director.

US Airways, with approximately 631 daily departures from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to 135 national and international destinations, offers more service from Charlotte than any other airline.
