Centini, (570) 602-2000 Avoca, PA - Travelers using the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport will soon have additional options for air travel. United Express (Continental Connection) will upgrade its service to Newark Liberty International Airport. Effective March 4, 2012, United Express (Continental Connection) will upgrade two of its daily Newark flights from 37-seat aircraft to 50-seat aircraft. These flights will depart AVP at 4:17 PM and 7:33 PM and arrive in Newark at 5:25 PM and 8:42 PM. Also, these flights will leave Newark at 2:52 PM and 6:01 PM and arrive at AVP at 3:51 PM and 7:08 PM. United Express (Continental Connection) carrier CommutAir will operate these nonstop, round-trip flights daily using the 50-seat Bombardier Dash 8 Q-300 aircraft (DH3).
