NEW & EXPANDED “CORPORATE SHOWCASE” IN NEW TERMINAL
Allentown, PA (January 16, 2006) – The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport’s new terminal building, opening in the spring of 2006, will display a newly expanded Corporate Showcase to feature community businesses. The Corporate Showcase is marketed by Interspace Airport Advertising of Allentown, PA, the national leader in its field.

"We are thrilled with the business community support Interspace has received thus far. Participation from regional businesses is up over 60% already for the new terminal, so we have expanded our program to feature more of the leading corporations in our region," says Barry Centini, Airport Director.

Interspace Marketing Manager, Judi Boyer, remarked that, "This is one of the most spectacular facilities constructed in the United States over the past ten years. To meet the higher corporate demands, our design team has added customized corporate displays using Edgelit flat panel displays, RevMax European scrolling displays and themed community wall murals to enhance the outstanding building design."

Centini added, "This state-of-the-art terminal building complex is the front door of our community for economic development prospects, for customers visiting our manufacturers, and professional people being recruited to our region. The Bi-County Airport Board and staff are committed to having broad representation in our Corporate Showcase from the leading hospitals, universities, financial institutions, manufacturers, developers and service providers."

"We want visitors to step off the plane and be impressed by the economic strength and vision of our corporate community", says Centini. He adds, "We are excited that community leaders such as Gentex, Schott Glass North America, Sallie Mae and Community Bank & Trust Co. are already a part of the new terminal’s Corporate Showcase. We have had a great response!"

The new Joseph M. McDade terminal building is 132,000 square feet and will feature six gates with jetways and two ground-level gates. Baggage handling, security screening and concessions will all be state-of-the-art. Interior design includes walls of stone, a glass concourse with views to the region’s mountains, and outstanding architectural elements. The airport serves six airlines with 14 direct destinations and 350 weekly arrivals and departures.
